Your Gilbert Orthodontist
Meet Dr. Scott Day
Dr. Day grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, where at age 14—and in braces himself—he decided to become an orthodontist.
After graduating from Mayo High School, he attended Brigham Young University, where he majored in Biology and completed his pre-dental requirements. He earned his DMD with high honors from Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating first in his class.
While in Dental School the US Army offered to pay the rest of Dr. Day’s educational expenses. Dr. Day and his family then chose the scenic route through school. He accepted the Health Professions Scholarship and served in the Army for the next 10 years - finishing dental school in Portland, Oregon, working on Active Duty soldiers and family members at an Army base in Germany, completing his Orthodontic Residency in Louisville, Kentucky and then serving as the Chief of Orthodontics at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.
After completing their Army commitment in 2005 Dr. Day, his wife Allison, and their 4 children moved to Gilbert Arizona to settle down. That is when they established Oasis Orthodontics. Growing up in Minnesota anywhere with palm trees just seemed so amazing that creating an Oasis in Arizona seemed like the perfect place to work and raise a family. And it has been just that!
Dr. Day and Allison enjoy traveling and volunteering in the community. One of their favorite community projects is the Higley Knight Statue that Oasis and the Day family helped create and install at Higley High School in 2020.
The Day children are all married and beginning their own adventures. Now “Mimi and Major” (his Army rank) are enjoying the grandparent stage of life!
